We are situated on the Western edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, with excellent access to many local and national walking routes, such as the Cleveland Way.

Local amenities include a Post Office, walking supplies shop, curio shops and several country inns in Osmotherley.

To the East the vast expanses of the National Park  combine with the tranquil feel of the coastal villages and towns such as Whitby, (Captain Cook's realm).

We are within one hours drive to the historic City of York to the South and to the North, Newcastle, Durham and the Northumberland coasts are to be found.
The North York Moors Railway is within easy reach at Grosmont or Pickering, (Heartbeat country!).
We are also very close to the Yorkshire Dales which is the setting for Emmerdale.
